get out of my living room
Okay, so there’s much fun being had at my expense, re: me trying to play my sister’s guitar. And yes Nikki and Caleb, I do think me playing the guitar is a great solution to CC’s problem… :)
So here’s the other video, the one we made with no guitar. You can watch both and tell us if you agree that guitar was the way to go. But remember, it’s not about whether guitar works better on the song in general (we’re sure it ultimately does). It’s about whether me playing my sister’s guitar with absolutely no practice is better than me playing the piano I’ve been playing for apx. 15 years.
Anyway, no way to vote here yet, but let us know which you prefer. I love that Kait and I keep finding new ways to make assholes of ourselves…
xo and happy monday, B
HI-larious. Brian, you should see me play the spoons - I just learned on Saturday. Not as good as your guitar playing, but I’m going to practice every day…
If you send us a video of you playing spoons to Get Out, I will put it on the website.
Actually…I like the piano the best with the song. I’m just weird like that I guess.
Spoons to get out? That sounds awesome! We should have a comp to do different renditions with different instruments and stuff to it…maybe? or…that might just be opening pandoras box as the tone deaf people of the world unite in an effort to make music out of dumpsters and socks.
(but if you do decided to do the comp idea, I call using dumpsters and socks!)
and I, with no musical instrument abilities what so ever, will be using the ten gallon pickle tubs. (only because Angel, in RENT, made it cool.) Also I could sing it but I would need practice with the material.
so… spoons, ten gallon pickle tubs, and dumpsters with socks… I say we have ourselves a band.
lol… that would be so awesome! almost techno-ish.
Go to, guys. Make it happen. Make a video and we’ll post it. Impromptu competition!
do we have a deadline?
Um. February 28! Our 6-month anniversary.
I like both of these versions, and the new guitar version with guest star Stephen Sislen - but just to humor us, could we get a version with violin, perhaps? I think it could be very interesting. Of course, I might just be a fool….
Different song, Sue, different song. Trust me. (FYI for those of you who don’t know, I play the violin.)
