Okay, I'm a Canadian, so the term "Freshman" doesn't really apply to me as much as "first year", but obviously it's the same thing!
I am a huge fan of this..."experiment." I've lurked around the Kerrigan and Lowdermilk circle for a while, and I decided to finally show my adoration for all of this! I love reading the blogs and seeing the songs that come out of them. This year I finished high school (and what a trip that was, boy!) and I'm leaving for college on Monday. Some of the stuff covered here makes me freak out about it, but then I get so excited. Freshman year. College. Musical theatre program. Because that's who I am. It all starts MONDAY.
Anyways, I'm so excited to see how this grows, how it expands. I'm especially excited to see all of the ways I'll be able to relate to it now. In fact, I'm starting my own Blog, which will be posted on YouTube, following my life as an MT major. But e-mail me if you want to hear about that, because this post is about THIS Freshmen Experiment.
So, to paraphrase, I'm so excited about where this goes and I can't wait to keep following! Go Kerrigan, Lowdermilk, CC and PC!
Any other new Freshmen out there with me?

I'm a freshman! Today is my last day of orientation, and I absolutely LOVE it here. I am so excited for classes (I totes geeked out hardcore when I got my theatre & society textbook- it's a big anthology of plays!). Everyone here is really super nice, and I'm so glad I chose this school even though a small LAC wasn't what I wanted at all at first. I think it's gonna work out well for me. (:
I think I'm going to go back and read the old posts. I feel like they'll make more sense now that I'm in college... hah. -

Thank you guys so much for posting these. It's incredible. One of my favorite things about this project has been watching new people start to read things we did almost a year ago and get invigorated by it. It makes me so proud of having been a part of this and I'm so happy that it's been a resource for what college really feels like for people who are just entering or people who have felt similarly. PC and CC are both such vivid writers and that's really what I think makes this so special!
Thank you guys for sharing. Keep writing to us over your freshman year especially if you have experiences similar or vastly different from PC's and CC's. And good luck with yoru blog, Mizzie! -

Rachel, I'm so going to be re-reading all of these blogs over the next week (after I move in tomorrow). For the same reasons as you. And good luck this year!
Thanks, Kait! -

I'm a freshman, and though I love PC and CC, I've had a bit of a hard time following their stories. Stupid me, I've been reading posts backwards because I've been too lazy to start their stories from the very beginning. I'd love to read more stories by freshmen, though. It certainly helps me get through my own first year. -

^ I totes know what you mean about stories from other freshmen helping. I've been begging my friends from high school to send me stories about the crazy things they've done so far, so that I don't feel ridiculous for having done many stupid things already! (: -

In australia, we don't use the expression "freshman" for uni, just "1st year" :P I've just finished my music theatre degree and I wish I had found out about The Experiment while I was still studying! Comtempory music theatre is so exciting, especially current stuff.
